Individualized Education Plan &
504 Plan Support

The learning objective of this program is to support the parent in understanding how their make the necessary adjustments to support the child’s education.

When a person becomes a parent is one of the greatest moments in the world. However, it can be one of the hardest jobs in the world, especially in that moment, when a doctor tells you that you have a child with special needs. It is in this moment when your job as a parent becomes more complicated than ever.

Their education becomes one of the most affected areas in their life as well as your largest area of importance. Now having a child with a disability, you recognize they will need more attention and support now than ever. We offer each client an opportunity to receive the necessary support and understanding of how they can receive special services and support for their child.

We work with several parents’ one-on-one in supporting them as they learn the ins and outs of an IEP or plan. They will have the opportunity to ask questions specifically geared to their child’s education and disability, which provides the parent with the utmost information on how they can effectively collaborate with their child’s school. They will be able to bounce ideas from the child’s therapist and collaborate with a special education advocate on what areas your child might need more than others. These areas might involve academic skills, daily living, social skills, behavior, vocational skills, and more.

This program was created to encourage parents to bridge the gap between their child and the school the child attends so that these areas can be addressed if needed. It will support the parent in understanding how their child is handling being a part of the school’s current education curriculum. And then make the necessary adjustments to support the child in the best way possible to help them meet the current expectations of the school’s curriculum. The main purpose is to ensure the child receives the most accurate and effective services possible when communicating in the meeting with all the child’s designated team members so that services can start.
