The learning objective of our Educational Services is to support the improving of one’s quality of life through their participation and involvement of making a positive contribution to their children, family members, and surrounding community. 

APOM education programs are geared towards in improving a person’s quality of life. It is through each individual’s involvement that will allow them to make a positive contribution to their children, family members, and surrounding community. Each person will be able to identify an area of improvement that will foster their sense of growth and development allowing them to become a more effective and productive member of society.

Each of our programs offers is participants the chance to develop and harness new and old abilities through their participation in various learning activities that are specifically designed to enable each person to develop and increase their knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes relevant to their own personal needs. They will engage in opportunities that are linked to issues that have been particularly critical to them being able to function in our society. Issues such as employment, communication, interpersonal skills, healthy relationships, making positive choices, and more.

The programs we are offering are listed below and can be offered as a one-on-one and group setting. Each setting can be conducted as in-person session and virtual session:

Life in Transitions Program (L.I.T. Program) – Our program offers young adults (Group 1: Ages 14 to 17) (Group 2: Ages 18 to 21) the support they need to efficiently recognize and understand their strengths, interests, and needs. We encourage each individual to learn to develop and set new goals through their involvement of each activity. Each young adult will work with a variety of networks and resources to support them in achieving a higher level of daily functioning. They will have the opportunity to work on areas such as effective communication, relationships money management, career and educational learning, self-care, and much more.

C.P.T. Program (Career Program & Training) – Our program provides support to its participants (Group 1: Ages 13 to 17) (Group 2: Ages 18 & up) by helping them find various ways to develop those necessary skills and capabilities to obtain a position with little or no support involved. Together, we will thoroughly assess and review your list of qualifications for the job you want. In addition, you will learn how to acquire those missing skill sets needed to successfully acquire and maintain your desire career of choice.

IEP/504 Support Program – Provides parents with the support and encouragement to bridge the gap between their child and the school the child attends so that these areas can be addressed if needed. It will support the parent in understanding how their child is handling being a part of the school’s current education curriculum. And then make the necessary adjustments to support the child in the best way possible to help the meet the current expectations of the school’s curriculum.
