The Career Pathways to Success Program
Our purpose is to provide mental health counseling and supplemental wellness, educational and outreach services within a therapeutic and compassionate environment that fosters the development of the whole person!!!
The Career Pathways to Success program offers individuals ages 14 & up with ability to find a greater peace and well-being within their current life situation. In this program, they will work on improving social-emotional wellness while pursuing skills and abilities that will help them enter the workforce with confidence ensuring that disadvantaged youth are being supported in the best transition possible into adulthood.
Career Pathways to Success is a year-round service with the outcome of each person completing a secondary education certificate in a field of their choice leading a successful transition into a career or post-secondary education/training. The program will include activities to ensure college readiness, workforce readiness, academic success for secondary school completion, 21st Century skills, and leadership development.
The workforce preparation is an evaluation-based learning process where each person will be provided the support needed to successfully seek out and maintain a job for a year. Each participant will receive training in entrepreneurship through job-shadowing, internships, apprenticeships, as well as paid work experiences. Financial literacy classes will be offered as part of a program to ensure a successful transition to adulthood.
Our program is offered FREE of charge to qualified youth (ages 14 to 24) who meet the necessary requirements through our review process. Each person will have a written plan of short and long term goals that will include a timeframe for completion of their goals and outcomes prior to exiting the program.
Our goal is to motivate and help each person by coordinating services for a successful transition from secondary school to post-secondary education, training and/or employment. The program encourages each participant to see a licensed clinician who incorporate evidence-based clinical practices to help minimize the effects of any trauma or negative experiences.
